>Ultron Forever was FANTASTIC! But with Al Ewing writing and Alan Davis drawing, it’s no surprise. This is a prime example of using continuity for positive effects in a story, complete with asterisk boxes. Want more stories like this! The only negative thing I can say about it is the numbering of them was dumb. The only purpose I could see to numbering them this way was to “trick” readers of, say, Uncanny Avengers, who don’t read the other titles into picking up this Uncanny Avengers special, then they learn there’s been two parts already. I guess the retailers are to blame for sending the message to you that #1s sell better. But in any case, it was a fantastic tale no matter how you marketed it. P.S.: More Golden Skull!!!>
Glad you enjoyed it. In terms of how we released it, it’s really not that different from the ways we’ve done other three-Annual storylines, across titles such as INHUMAN, AMAZING SPIDER-MAN and ALL-NEW CAPTAIN AMERICA. I see your point, but this was a big Avengers story, so running it in Specials across the three current AVENGERS titles seemed fair to me.
